The solid lubrication system requires neither a power supply nor a complex control system. The lubricating pins are applied directly to the wheel in minute quantities using simple but clever mechanical applicators. The solid lubrication system is completely self-regulating; the lubricant is applied to the wheel-rail contact exactly where it is needed.

µSTICK® and µSTICK® TOR are solid lubrication systems for wheels and rails. The lubricating stick, a dry lubricant embedded in a special polymer matrix, is applied directly to the wheel.
µSTICK® ensures extremely low friction values between the wheel flange and the running edge of the rail, thus dramatically reducing wear.
µSTICK® TOR ensures an optimum traction coefficient (“positive friction”) between the running surface of the wheel and the rail head, which increases with increasing slip. This guarantees optimum traction without noise and without the formation of slip waves.
Both systems only need to be fitted to a few axles per vehicle for a fleet-wide effect.

Holder
The µSTICK applicators are positioned on the wheel using vehicle-specific holders. The brackets can also be designed by the vehicle manufacturer if required. We are of course happy to support you with our expertise and experience.
