MiniProfBT Rail

The MiniProfBT Rail is a highly accurate, lightweight and portable tool for performing fast and reliable rail cross-section profile measurements to monitor and analyze rail wear. It is equipped with Bluetooth, has a cable connection option and is available for all types of rails, including grooved rails. The rail profile and gauge are magnetically attached to the top of the rail head and are measured in less than 5 seconds in a single measurement. NEW: The multi-rod function makes it possible to use tie rods of different lengths with one and the same MiniProfBT

Get immediate results

Vertical, horizontal and angled wear are displayed in real time immediately after each measurement. The powerful Envision software includes numerous additional calculations and alignments for basic to advanced data processing, analysis and reporting

Rail - Analyses & Calculations

The MiniProfBT Envision software visualizes and calculates residuals and areas automatically and offers special functions that are often used for rail grinding analysis. Measurements can be compared in various ways and can be easily exported in different formats.

GPS location

The MiniProfBT Envision software can log GPS locations for each measurement taken and attach on-site photos to each measurement. This is very useful for identifying specific points of interest along the railroad.

Fast measurement with schemes

The MiniProfBT Envision software includes a measurement scheme system for performing large sequences of wheel, rail and brake profiles. With the intelligent scheme wizard, the user can create customized scheme solutions that meet their individual requirements for quick, easy and efficient profile measurements.

Gauge measurement

MiniProfBT Rail is equipped with a telescopic rod that uses the opposite rail as a reference to ensure a correct and stable position and prevent the instrument from tilting. Depending on the system configuration, the track gauge and profile measurement are provided simultaneously in a single measurement.

Superelevation and gradient

An inclination sensor automatically measures the cant and slope depending on the system configuration. The values are saved with the measurement and can be displayed at any time. The range of the measured inclination is ± 30 degrees.
